Shortlisted In 4 Categories
Celebrations are taking place at Andrew Smith Salons as the news comes through that the team have been shortlisted in 4 categories in the Southern Hair & Beauty Awards!
Andrew Smith was ecstatic to hear that Emma Walsh has been announced as a finalist in the Junior Stylist Of The Year Category and Andrew has himself been shortlisted as a finalist in Colour Technician of the Year, Hair Stylist Of The Year and Hairstyling Specialist Of The Year categories. The competition for our region is incredibly strong and to have been shortlisted in 4 categories is incredible – we are all over the moon and really looking forward to the Grand Final at The Hilton Brighton Metropole on Saturday 4th November.
The Southern Hair & Beauty Awards aim to provide a platform to recognise, reward and celebrate the talent within the local hair and beauty sector and Andrew believes that this is a great opportunity for hairdressers in the region. ‘as a hairdresser, the most important recognition that we will ever receive is from our salon clients who recommend us to their family and friends! This is critical in order to develop our business however, it is always amazing to be rewarded for your success amongst other hairdressing talents!’ Andrew continues ‘I am delighted for Emma, she is such an asset to our business and an inspiration to people out there who would love to switch careers – her talent, her drive and her passion and determination are insane and I am really proud of her and have got everything crossed that we win!’
The past 12 months have been incredible for the Andrew Smith Salon Group, Andrew was one of only 5 finalists in the national Salon Business Ultimate Stylist Category; the Andrew Smith Art Team have been commissioned to work at London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks; Andrew has showcased his work on stage as part of the milk_shake Creative Team and for The Fellowship Of British Hairdressers and this weekend Andrew will travel to Salon International (one of the biggest dates in the hairdressing calendar) to present on stage.
